I created this website as not only a showcase for my portfolio, but as a way to create new art out of existing ideas.

I always loved the look of vines growing on concrete, or a weed sprouting out of a sidewalk. The idea that nature could overtake human monoliths created an image in my head: one that sees nature as a force more than a commodity. This image was the opposite of what I saw in real life, which is host to landscapers trimming every hedge and vine, and fake plants being sold in every store across the United States.

I wanted this piece to be a look into what could be the future, having fake plants run up buildings and inside corners of the world to act as reminders of the world we once had.
