the start
this was the first image uploaded to the website. one little picture of concrete taken after the rain.
My idea initially was simple: take a break. I love the feeling of being able to take small moments to Myself throughout the day and wanted to start something digital to remind people to take a second away from the hustle and do something for yourself.
why collage?
why not just take pretty pictures? in My why page, I talk about My goals for the main page: textures and things I have captured. this to Me meant that collage was necessary. creating an art piece that is not just single pictures of small things, but stacks to create new ideas and tell an overall story.
this is not to say there was not a lot of faults with this idea. namely, Squarespace is not made to do collage, it does not natively rotate images, crop at angles, or compress images.
